Historically, in every military conflict, combat power has been reduced more significantly by disease and non-battle injuries (DNBI) than from direct combat casualties. Developed specifically for use by soldiers, this high quality, Military Insect Repellent Lotion contains 30% DEET in a controlled-realease, sweat-resistant polymer base, to provide maximum and cost-effective protection against all types of biting insects and the dangerous diseases they can carry.
The polymer in the formulation slows the absorption and evaporation of DEET, thereby holding it on the surface of the skin where it can continue to repel arthropods for an 'extended' period of time. Laboratory testing shows that the extended-duration DEET lotion provides 6 hours of at least 95% protection against a variety of mosquito species in a tropical environment, 10 hours in a hot, dry environment, and 12 hours in a forested/wet environment.
Military Insect Repellent Lotion in convenient 2oz tubes is non-greasy with a mild neutral odour. Also free of alcohol and is therefore safe for soldiers to stow for travel by air, land or sea. DEET based repellent HAS BEEN THE MILITARY SKIN REPELLENT OF CHOICE since 1990.

Military Insect Repellent Lotion contains DEET at
a level of 30% in accordance with recommendations made by the World
Health Organization (WHO). A higher percentage of DEET is not needed
